Building Community: 500 turn out for free “Pig Party”, Celebrating the Third Anniversary of High Point Cafe

The High Point Cafe 3rd Anniversary – a Community Building event by Pamela Rogow.

Three years ago, Meg Hagele opened the High Point Cafe in Mt. Airy Village, across from Weavers Way Co-op, Henry School and the Moving Arts studio. The cafe is primarily a coffee bar with a range of fresh pastries—baked on site daily–plus organic crepes and salad. Instantly popular from the day it opened, the cafe helped to catalyze growth at an already vibrant intersection. Since then, the Big Blue Marble Bookstore, Maternal Wellness Center, Environmental Home Store, Springboard Studio and Eco Impresario Services opened nearby.
